For those wanting a unique experience for their bachelor (or bachelorette) party, the mountains of Vail can set the stage for a unique and memorable experience. With no shortage of outdoor activities, amazing restaurants, and a beautiful backdrop, Vail is an adult playground.
1. Axe Throwing at a Brewery
Nothing screams mountain man quite like Colorado craft beer and axes. Wood & Steel Axe throwing is a mobile axe throwing service based that can setup shop anywhere. When choosing a spot for the axe throwing, consider one of the many local breweries. Many breweries have decided to open up their brew facilities for private functions. In addition to tasty beer, you’ll get a behind the scenes look at how it’s created.
2. Bachelor’s lounge in Beaver creek
One of my favorite hidden gems is Bachelor’s Lounge at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch. This lounge is perfect blend of your favorite speakeasy and cozy mountain hideaway. The highlight of Bachelor’s Lounge is their wide selection of cigars which can be smoked on their cozy patio next to one of the many fireplaces. After your cigar, enjoy a glass of bourbon while playing a game of pool.
3. Brewery Pub Crawl
Colorado is known for it’s craft beer so a pub crawl is the perfect way to experience the local flavor. The Turtle Bus is a local staple for party goers. The eclectic green fleet of buses offer a full bar on board to keep the party going between spots. Drive to local’s “down valley” favorite Bonfire Brewing for their IPAs and taste Vail Brew Co.’s delicious seasonal offerings.
4. Hit The Slopes
This one is obvious. Vail and Beaver Creek boast thousands of acres of pristine terrain. Additionally, the on-mountain restaurants are a great for a pit stop to grab a hot toddy.
5. See the Colorado Wilderness with SageOutdoor Adventures
The Vail Valley has some of the most picturesque landscapes and trails. Sage Outdoor Adventures is a local company to help facilitate your mountain exploration. In the Summer they offer rafting, ATV, and fishing tours. And in the winter, you can go on a high speed Snowmobile tour. For those craving an adrenaline rush, you won’t be disappointed.
